Choosing a makeup look that goes with your lipstick can be tricky. You want a look that is strong enough to have impact when paired with a subtle lipstick, but not too strong that it competes with a bold lip colour. This look is one to keep in your back pocket; a quick, foolproof, go with anything makeup.
The trick is to keep everything simple with only a hint of definition around the eyes.
I chose to do a liquid black liner with a subtle wing, but a pencil works just fine as well, giving a softer look. The eye shadow should be simple, with a light wash of neutral colour over the entire lid. A colour that mimics your skintone is perfect. Add a slightly darker colour through the crease, but only enough to create a slight shadow (think soft greys and freckle tone browns). Keep the face simple with only a hint of natural colour on the apples of your cheeks; choose a blush that mimics the colour of your natural flush. With this look you can apply ANY lip colour with the confidence that you will have a cohesive makeup look that is easy, quick, flattering and has impact!
